Ajahn Jayasāro

An English disciple of Ajahn Chah, former abbot of Wat Pah Nanachat, and the author of Stillness Flowing, the fullest account of Ajahn Chah's life and teaching.
Ajahn Jayasāro was born on the Isle of Wight in 1958. He became a disciple of Ajahn Chah in 1978, at Wat Nong Pah Pong, and ordained there.
From 1997 to the end of 2002 he was abbot of Wat Pah Nanachat, the International Forest Monastery. He is widely known in Thailand as a teacher in Thai, and for his work on Buddhist education.
For more than twenty years he gathered memories of Ajahn Chah from those who knew him, and wrote them into Stillness Flowing, a biography of some eight hundred pages that is offered for free distribution.
